The SHCGD holds monthly meetings and sponsors a host of special events to entertain and educate Siberian Husky enthusiasts throughout the year.

• Meetings - typically SHCGD members meet the second Wednesday of each month at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 2079 12 Mile Road, Berkley.  Often, a special guest talks about a topic of interest to Siberian Husky owners or about dogs and dog related activities in general.
• Siberian Husky Sled Dog Championship Race  - Proudly sponsored by the the Siberian Husky Club of Greater Detroit and the Drummond Island Resort. Sport classes available for non-registered teams.  Included are a variety of special fun prizes (i.e. oldest driver, best dressed team, all rescue team).  Don't miss the fun. • Siberian Husky Back to Back Specialty Shows -   The Specialty is a great chance for dogs and handlers to gain experience in a fun, low-pressure atmosphere. For additional information contact: Barb Horsey, 2011 Show Chairman. 
• Siberian Husky & All Breed Obedience Trials  -   2011, All Breed Obedience Trial Chairman, Barb Horsey.

Club will provide meat (Prime Rib & Chicken) and beverages – please bring a dish to pass.

 

If you would like to join in on the gift exchange, please limit it to $20. 

 

Please bring a bottle of wine or alcohol to donate to Hospitality.

 

From I-69:
Take exit 105 (Perry/Owosso/M-52).  Go north on M-52 (toward Owosso) about 2 miles to Tyrrell Rd.  Turn left on Tyrrell (the only way you can turn).  Go about 2 miles to our house 5115 - on the left. The house is back off the road about 700 feet, so pull all the way up the driveway.

From I-96:
Go to exit 122 (Webberville/M-52).  Turn north on M-52 toward Perry.  M-52 takes a jog a Grand River; turn left on Grand River, and then right again on M-52 (at the blinking light, about 1 mile).  Take M-52 through Perry, and across I-69.  Once you cross I-69, go about 2 more miles north to Tyrrell Rd.  Turn left on Tyrrell, and go about 2 miles to 5115 on the left.  The house is back off the road about 700 feet, so pull all the way up the driveway.

 Note:  If you are using a GPS, spell our road Tyrell (with one r).  The street signs say Tyrrell, but all legal docs say Tyrell.
